I feel incredibly lucky that I grew up in an environment that fostered my varied and insatiable curiousty. I was homeschooled through middle and high school and, through that experience, I was able to focus on things that made me excited, as well as hone valuable skills of self-study and efficient time management. When I started college at the Community College of Rhode Island, I took classes that interested me like theater, writing, photography, and art alongside my gen ed studies. I followed that creative thread to the New England Institute of Technology where I got a degree in Multimedia and Web Design. After graduating, however, my life took a sharp right turn when I found yoga. Yoga was exactly what I needed at the time and I wanted to share this incredible gift with the world. So, I spent a month at the Kripalu Center learning and living yoga for my 200 hour teacher training. Over the next 7+ years, I taught, trained, and studied yoga full time, completely immersed in the health and wellness field. I continued to use the skills I had learned so far to market myself and my classes and, with the explosion of social media, I found another avenue to fuel my interests. I continue to blend what I am passionate about with the skills I have learned along the way to create work I can be proud of.

Just  for fun...

While it seemed right to have a slightly more traditional bio, I also wanted to have a little fun with this "about me" section so you can get to know me a little better. I don't know about you but I love all those silly Q&A posts you probably see on your social media feeds so I thought I would have  a little fun with that here. I'd love to hear your answers so drop me a line here!

Desert Island movie?

Hands down, An American in Paris. I took ballet and dance classes for 15 years and grew up obsessed with all things ballet and Gene Kelly. This movie is the perfect blend. And, because it has a full length ballet in it, I could pass the time trying to learn the choreography (even though I can't do a lot of what I used to!).

Last concert/show/live performance you saw?

The last live performance I saw was Hamilton on Broadway! I am such a huge fan of the show so to be able to see it live "in the greatest city in the world" was truly magical.

What's on your bucket list?

While there's a lot, my number one thing is to take a boat out to Guadalupe Island and swim with great white sharks. I've loved sharks for as long as I can remember and even looked into becoming a marine biologist. While I don't think that's in the cards for me this lifetime, I do long to spend time in the water with these magnificent creatures.

What is a current favorite pastime?

For the past few years I have been completely obsessed with genealogy. I have been working on my own family tree and finding a lot of fun helping other people with theirs. It's such a fulfilling experience and ties together a lot of things that I personally love like history, human stories, and connection. I highly recommend. I also love to cook, dabble with photography, and indulge a love of makeup and skincare.

What is something you'd like to accomplish in the next 5 years?

I definitely want to travel more. I have been fortunate enough to go to Italy, Ireland, and Colorado in the past few years and I have the travel bug bad! I'd love to travel to the places my ancestors were from to do more research and connect with those various branches. I love experiencing new cultures and food and languages and would really love to expand my world knowledge. I love people and meeting new people and hearing their stories.

My sister and I at the Cliffs of Moher.
